The CV2105 (commercially the DL70) is primarily intended for use in communications equipment of the 'push to talk' type and its continuous life rating under typical supply voltage conditions is relatively short and is chiefly a function of hours of filament operation and filament temperature.
Under 'push to talk' conditions an operating life of about 200 hours may be expected.
These very small valves needed exceptional dexterity to assemble and a special plant was established by Mullard.
The KB/DC identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the DC identifies the maker as Mullard Radio Valve Co., Whyteleafe.
The twin filament strands are held under tension by the springs at the top.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type CV2105 was first introduced in 1957. See also 1957 adverts.
