The CV655 metal pentode is designed for Class C Telephony transmitter use. It is an RF power amplifier capable of 6 Watts output at up to 45 MHz and useful output at up to 60 MHz.
No direct equivalent seems to exist. The 6F6 is close and pin compatible, but the closest equivalent is the 1613, also pin compatible.
The reverse is plain but there are remnants of original lettering.
This image was found on an ebay auction and shows the near equivalence to the CV655.
The thin metal tube envelope is 25 mm in diameter, and excluding the IO base pins is 67 mm tall.
