The CV797 is a xenon filled tetrode thyratron. The prototype was the commercial 2D21.The KB/D identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the D identifies the maker as Mullard Radio Valve Co., Mitcham.
The box anode encloses all the electrodes. The anode lead is screened right to the pin.
The anode lead is encased in a ceramic tube. As a gas filled valve it is important to keep the discharge confined to maintain the published performance. The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 46 mm tall.Reference: Data-sheet. Type CV797 was first introduced in 1944. See also 1944 adverts. |
