The CV1342 is a Quiescent Push-Pull output pentode and the prototype was the Mazda QP25. The old Army service code is ARP37. The anode to anode load is 17kΩ and the output is 750 mW.
The KB/B identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the B identifies the maker as Edison Swan, Baldock, pre Sept 1945.
The pair of pentodes. The anodes are left bright as this is a low power valve.
The pinch and lower mica.
The top mica showing the filament tension springs. The suppressor grid of the left hand pentode can be seen as can the locking fold that holds the anode closed.
Looking up from the base gives a better view of the spacing of the grids.
The classic envelope is 32 mm in diameter, and excluding the MO base pins is 80 mm tall.
