The CV1191 is an indirectly heated screened tetrode. The prototype was the KTZ41, designed for wideband amplification in television receivers. The old service designation was NR76.
The KB/Z identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the Z identifies the maker as MO Valve Company, Hammersmith.
The inner coating hides the construction.
The top view is distorted by the glass but the radiating fin on the control grid can be seen.
Looking up from the base reveals the rectangular anode and screen grid winding. The much finer control grid wire is visible on the full size image.
The classic envelope is 41 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins is 102 mm tall.
