The CV434 is a cold cathode voltage stabiliser with a maximum current rating of 60 mA. The prototype was the VX370 and the commercial version is the QS75/60.
The KB/QG identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the QG identifies the maker as English Electric Valve Co., but the location is not yet known.
The outer cathode is made from thin sheet joined at the seam. The anode is a central rod.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8B base pins is 63 mm tall.
