The CV2204 (commercially the TD03-10F) is an indirectly heated disc seal triode with internal feedback, it is primarily intended for use as a common grid earthed concentric line oscillator.
The TD03-10 does not have the internal feedback.
The KB/Z identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the Z identifies the maker as MO Valve Company, Hammersmith.
The grid is single sided and wound under tension. it is an early form of the frame grid as it is supported firmly in the plate.
A closer view of the thin grid wires with the white flat cathode beyond.
The cathode connection with the heater return in the centre. The valve would be mounted in a cavity with progressively larger holes for the valve to be inserted from the top.
The planar envelope is 17 mm in diameter, and including the base pin is 60 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type CV2204 was first introduced in 1958. See also 1958 adverts.
