The CV1198 is an indirectly heated triode based on the AD/P4. The design purpose was for line scanning in TV circuits. The old service code was the Navy NR94 that looks much like this valve.
CV1190 refers to a pair of CV1198s selected such that with 1.0 kV on the anode, with a 100kΩ anode load and an anode current of 4.75 mA, the control grid voltages are within half a Volt of each other.
The anode box is much wider than the control grid allowing a greater area for heat radiation.
The CV1198 is hard to read even with image enhancement.
