The CV4082 (commercially the A2426) was based on the CV2231 and is a pulse modulator tetrode.
The design allows for a 15% duty cycle and a maximum pulse length of 15 μs. Under these conditions the peak anode voltage can rise to 10,000 Volts and the peak current is 2.5 A. In addition to an anode maximum dissipation of 12 Watts the screen grid can dissipate 3 Watts.
The KB/Z identifies this valve as being made to specification K1001 or K1006, the B denotes qualification by a UK authority and the Z identifies the maker as MO Valve Company, Hammersmith.
There is not a great deal of structure visible.
The multi KV peak anode voltage is why there are ceramic insulators for the anode connections. The valve has shock resistance and the top mica is consequently thick. The control grid has radiating fine attached to the supports.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter, and excluding the IO base pins is 85 mm tall.
