The CV1901 (commercially the 6F11) is a screened RF pentode. The B8A base is of the earliest type with a metal skirt, locating pip and base spigot
The EN identifies the maker as Thorn-AEI, Sunderland.
The locating pip was required as the pins are spaced equally around the base. The spigot is cylindrical and no key is present.
The three wire grids can just be seen.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8A base pins is 53 mm tall.
