The Tungsram HP4115 is a vari-μ RF pentode that was made with both B5 and B7 base caps. The valve has a short grid base and the control grid bias range is -1.5 to -12 Volts.
The screw top cap places this valve as dating from the early 1930's.
The reverse is plain zinc loaded screening paint. The colour and the 'Made in England' suggests that it was made by Mullard. Philips owned Tungsram from 1952.
The classic envelope is 51 mm in diameter, and excluding the B5 base pins is 133 mm tall.
Reference: 1043. Type HP4115 was first introduced in 1935. See also 1935 adverts.
