The box is 42 mm square and 118 mm long. The valve was held in place by a shaped card liner. The liner was designed to slide out of the outer carton and formed a cradle to hold the valve. Sadly in this exhibit the liner has been torn. The box probably dates to the early 1940s. The box carries the order number of 2543-WF-42 for the Bendix Radio Corp. The box also has US Army Signal Corps printed upon it.
