The box is made from printed card and the pins protrude so that the valve can be tested in the carton. Two rivet hold the box together and the card has to be torn to extract the valve - thus indicating if the pack has been tampered with. The sticker on the box is the WWII Lease Lend whereby America was able to supply the UK.
