RCA

The 8012 was a professional valve and so it is unusual to see it packaged in what looks like retail packaging. The box is printed in full colour and is possible that the 8012 was made available to the Radio Amateur for experiments in VHF/UHF transmission. The box is long compared with the valve and shaper cardboard end pieces hold the valve safely in the centre of the space. The paper label is from Haslemere (UK) in December 1943 and clearly originally owned by the UK Government. The box is 71 mm square and 192 mm tall.
