This box is made from cheap cardboard and printed with a single colour (green). The box has a utility feel and probably dates from the immediate post war period. The valve box has been overprinted with the price of 9/6d with purchase tax of 2/1d and so was designed for retail sale. The original valve protection has been lost but was most likely a corrugated card wrap. The box is 51 mm square and 150 mm tall.
