This OM525 cavity magnetron is taken from a microwave oven. It produces 650 Watts at 2400 MHz with some 2000 Volts on the anode. The valve is directly heated.
During WWII the development of the cavity magnetron was one of the most closely guarded secrets, it is now one of the most widespread thermionic devices in the world.
Our example is 70 mm square and 117 mm long. The flange plate is 125 mm long.
