The VME4 is a variable μ tuning indicator in a clear glass tubular envelope. The internal connections are easily seen. The shadow angle is up to 90 degrees.

The control grid voltage range for the full display is 22 Volts.

The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7 base pins, is 84 mm tall.
