The PT625 is a directly heated output pentode. In use the PT625 could deliver an output of two Watts.

To accommodate a pentode design in a five pin base the suppressor grid g3 is internally connected to the control grid g1.

The balloon envelope is 60 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 121 mm tall.
