This impressive tubular ceramic valve is a three gap tetrode, hydrogen filled thyratron designed for use as a pulse modulator. It has a rating of peak current of 2,500 Amps at 120 KV, with an average current of 2.5 A.
If used as a switch to a magnetron it can supply a very large pulse power of 150 Mega Watts.
The flying leads connect to the filament/heater.
The wide ceramic tube envelope is 102 mm in diameter and, excluding the flying leads, is 362 mm tall.
