The Tungsram AS4105 is a variable-μ tetrode for use as an RF or IF amplifier in broadcast receivers fitted with AGC. The design dates to 1932.
The envelope is screened with a coating of zinc loaded paint connected to the cathode.
This exhibit was made in Hungary.
Looking down on the valve. The Tungsram name and Barium Tube (Azide process).
The classic envelope is 47 mm in diameter and, excluding the B5 base pins, is 100 mm tall.
