about

The 6B7S is a double diode pentode for use as detector, avc rectifier and first audio amplifier in broadcast superhet receivers. This exhibit from the Canadian company Rogers has a zinc metal paint coating and the suffix S probably indicates that this is a screened valve.
The top cap is fluted and inside the envelope the internal screen can be seen.
The UX7 base and solid pins.
The classic envelope is 39 mm in diameter, and excluding the UX7 base pins is 100 mm tall.
References: Datasheet & 1043. Type 6B7S was first introduced in 1933.
