This exhibit is a 6AU6WC sharp cut-off pentode. Variants of the basic 6AU6 RF pentode are numerous. The 6AU6A was equipped with a heated with defined warm-up times. The 6AU6WB is designed to offer stable performance under conditions of high - temperature, vibration, shock and altitude. The 'W' denotes the special quality and the final letter indicates the particular variant. Sadly we do not have the data-sheet for the 6AU6WC only the 6AU6WB.
This is a true pentode with three wire grids. The control grid is wound on copper supports for better heat conduction. Below the lower mica the anode is shielded down to the base pin.The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and excluding the B7G base pins the valve is 47 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 4054. |
