The EAF801 is a replacement for the EAF81 and the pentode is designed for Rf and IF amplification. With a single diode and no vari-μ characteristic it would be suited to a TRF receiver.
Zaerix specialised in supplying valves made in eastern Europe and this one was made in Hungary.
The electrostatic screen obscures all internal detail.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 60 mm tall.
