The 7227 is a laboratory sample from Brimar. On test it appears to be designed for series heater chain use and consumes 150 mA at 27 volts for the correct colour of heater - four Watts. The 6BW6 has the same pin connections and consumes 2.8 Watts of heater power.
The 7227 is a rugged pentode for 24 Volt heater and anode supplies.
The beam plate within the anode - image looking along the grid axis.
The control grid is wound on copper supports.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 59 mm tall.
