The 5663 is a miniature tetrode thyratron or trigger tube. The range of gas filled miniature trigger tubes was designed for use in relay control and grid-controlled rectifier applications.
The voltage drop across the valve at 20 mA is 11 Volts.
The GE logo on the glass. Within the heater connections can be seen at the top.
The rectangle in the centre is the control grid, Below the control grid in the image is the second grid and outer screen. The anode is a small plate that is just visible below the second grid.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 29 mm tall.
