The 1D6 is a half wave rectifier designed for universal (AC/DC) receivers that use a series heater chain and do not have a mains transformer.
This exhibit has a perforated anode whereas our other 1D6 has a solid plate anode.
The anode looks like three cylinders side by side.

The anode seen from the front (or back).
The classic envelope is 38 mm in diameter, and excluding the UX6 base pins is 92 mm tall.
