The 932 has two wire connections and so is clearly a cold cathode device. As yet no details on this Type have been found.The device has one conical electrode and a central rod and so the probability is that it detects radiation probably visible. Alternatively it could be a GM tube.
The central rod is in fact a tube and is fixed into the thick re-entrant glass end.
