This exhibit is a De Forest DV-2 fitted with an Isolantite ceramic base. The V in the type designation refers to the UV base cap and the 2 should represent the approximate filament voltage, however, the paper label shows the filament rating as 5 Volt. This longer label dates from 1925.

The wide glass tube envelope is 32 mm in diameter and, including the base pins, is 105 mm tall.
