The Cossor 44SU is a low power half wave HT rectifier dating to 1930.
The anode is vertical and ribbed for mechanical strength. The two supports are placed either side.
The anode has a small front to back dimension of about 4 mm.
The other paper label is torn and does not yield useful information.
The top mica supports the two filament tensioning springs with the filament held in hooks. The filament passes four times through the anode space.
The balloon envelope is 44 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 107 mm tall.
Reference: Data-sheet. Type 44-SU was first introduced in 1930. See also 1930 adverts.
