Base UV

Extras ▼

This is the original American standard four pin base that was superseded by the UX4 from late 1925. The name UV stands for Unit Vacuum tube base.

The pins count clockwise from the locating pin. Some sources give the pins numbered clockwise with the locating pin between pins two and three. We have adopted the former based on the data sheet for CV1653. The UX base counts clockwise from the larger diameter pin. In this case the locating pip is between pins 2 and 3. So UV base g1, f, f a is UX base f, a, g1, f.

The UV valve-holder above is 40 mm in diameter and 40 mm tall.
