Terry Collard Valve Collection

Extras ▼

Terry Collard was an air traffic engineer for over 40 years and had a passion for all things technical. He enjoyed using his electronic expertise to create various gadgets and his interest in radio valves was sparked many years ago. He took a great deal of pleasure in his valve collection and it was built up over 30+ years. From the most basic of valves to a magnificent one from a Lancashire bomber, all were proudly displayed in a glass cabinet in his lounge.
His daughter Lindsay writes: after he passed away in 2015 it became important to me that his collection was donated to someone equally as passionate and I'm delighted to have passed them on to the National Valve Museum.
An old 18 Watt 12 - 14 Volt car bulb found within the collection.
