A complicated story of patent infringements.

Radio Lamp Corporation of New York. RAC went into bankruptcy shortly after the District Courts (May 1922) and Circuit Court of Appeals declared injunction against further infringement of AT&T patents. This was the first 'Independent' tube factory during the time after the formation of RCA in 1919.

Next came the Radio Audion Company based in Jersey City, NJ.

E B Myers Ltd.; Montreal: After the American company went bankrupt in 1922, Elman B Myers went to Montreal and found new financial backing to manufacture valves, aimed for the US market by mail order.

When the triode patents of Lee de Forest ceased, the company moved to Cleveland, Ohio as the Myers Radio Tube Corp. but without Myers himself. While in Cleveland, the company produced and marketed Myers 201A and 201X valves.

Soon after the Cleveland company was established, RCA sued them for back royalties and the company went bankrupt.
