The Marconigraph of this month, sixty years ago, was devoid of anything at all significant from the technical point of view. A great deal of space was devoted to the opening of Marconi House in the Strand and the Wireless aspects of the inquiry into the Titanic disaster compiled from reports in The Times and other newspapers. An article on early experiments with wireless in aeroplanes revealed that, due to major advances, it was no longer necessary to have a trailing aerial. Unfortunately the Flanders monoplane being used for tests, crashed, killing the pilot, considerably delaying further experiments.
