The P8092 is a 1 in vidicon which is sensitive to infrared radiation from 1.8 to 1000 μm, with optimized performance in the 8 to 14 μm band. When used with a high-performance lens, this tube can resolve increments in scene temperature of less than 0.2°C. The tube has a spatial resolution capability of 300 TV lines, and deuterated triglycine-sulphate target having a useful diameter of 18 mm.
