The 6SH7GT was designed for wideband RF and IF amplification and has a relatively high gm value to ensure a good gain-bandwidth product.
It features a sharp cut-off characteristic and a double cathode connection to reduce circuit coupling. As a sharp cut-off amplifier it can not be controlled by an AGC voltage.
The Ken-Rad name shortened to K-R Tubes. Ken-Rad were bought by General Electric in 1945.
The screening continues either side of the electrodes down to the foot.
The wide glass tube envelope is 28 mm in diameter and, excluding the IO base pins, is 66 mm tall.
