The EZ81 was the big brother to the EZ80 full wave rectifier, giving 150 mA against the 90 mA for the EZ80. This was specified in the late 1950s and 1960s when greater power was required.

The maximum reservoir capacitor was 50 µF and the minimum series resistance had to be 240 Ohms per anode.

The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 68 mm tall.
