The CV1835 is a half wave Xenon filled rectifier. The maximum Peak Inverse Voltage is rated at 5,000 Volts. Although the average rectified current is 500 mA the peak value can be as high as 2 Amps.
The CV1835 is also marked with the Mullard commercial Type of RR3-250. The 3B28 was the prototype for the CV1835 and this valve has that Type listed on the glass as well.
The outer cylinder is the shield and it is held in place by a collar around the glass stem that covers the anode lead from the top cap down into the shield. The locating pip for the bayonet base is clearly seen.
The anode end of the envelope with the re-entrant envelope to hold the shield collar at a minimum distance.
The base, pinch and filament connections passing into the shield through ceramic insulators.
The wide glass tube envelope is 51 mm in diameter and, excluding the UX4 base pins, is 139 mm tall.
