The DW3 full wave directly heated rectifier was introduced by Mullard in 1931 and remained current production for some years. Our other DW3 has a clear envelope and the construction of the twin anode cavities and ribbon filament can clearly be seen.
The envelope dome contains the etched lettering. The information contained is almost all the essential operating parameters. The balloon envelope is 58 mm in diameter and, excluding the B4 base pins, is 122 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1043. Type DW3 was first introduced in 1931. See also 1931 adverts. |
