The CV785 is the UK Government code for the commercial 1T4 and is a miniature screened pentode for dry battery operation. It was designed for radio reception and is a variable μ RF device and would be employed as an IF amplifier in most cases.The thin glass tube envelope is 17 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 45 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040.
