The CV1535 is a full wave rectifier that is ideally suited to small equipment both receivers and test equipment. The commercial EZ80 was found in many broadcast receivers and domestic audio equipment.
The performance is: 90 mA maximum current and with a required series resistance of 300 ohms to reduce the initial surge in charging the maximum 50 µF reservoir capacitor.
The design uses a common cathode with a pair of complementary anodes to maximise surface area for cooling.
One anode face on. The other is set at right angles to it.
Another example with a different style of lettering.
The anodes set at right angles to one another.
The second valve is also labeled EZ80 thus showing the commercial and government specification are the same.
The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 58 mm tall.
