The 4KC/160M is a conduction cooled power tetrode for use at VHF (full ratings) and UHF (reduced rating). The CCS1 and Y-799 are equivalents. Electrically the valve is the same as the forced air cooled 4CX250B.
The heater figures given have been confirmed on test.
The holes in the conduction block pass through it so it can be adequately clamped to the main cooling equipment.
The base pins set in ceramic. The central spigot has a locating key and is the connection to the control grid.
The top of the valve. The outer cooling block carries the identification.
The wide ceramic tube envelope is 36 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8F base pins is 48 mm tall. The anode cooling block is 41 mm square and 21 mm tall.
