The QY3-65 is a 65 Watt anode dissipation RF tetrode for use at up to 250 MHz. It is also rated for modulator or AF amplifier service in Class AB.
The cylindrical anode has ridges to aid heat dissipation as well as being carbonised.
The base uses five of the seven pins of the B7A design. As a professional valve it has gold plated pins.
The wide glass tube envelope is 51 mm in diameter, and excluding the B7A base pins is 95 mm tall. The skirt is 56 mm in diameter.
