The CV3612 is a special quality pentode and commercially is designated the 5686. It can be used as a Class A audio amplifier to give 2.7 Watts single ended or a Class C RF amplifier up to 160 MHz where the output is just over five Watts.
The thin glass tube envelope is 21 mm in diameter, and excluding the B9A base pins is 47 mm tall.
