The CV2382 output pentode is specified for video use, i.e. 5.5 MHz and wide bandwidth i.e. DC to 5.5 MHz. The impedance is high and so is the amplification factor is high. The commercial equivalent is the EL822 and this Type designation appears on the other side of the envelope.
The anode obscures the internal electrodes. The two small heat radiating plates are visible on top the of copper supports for the control grid. The cathode tube is almost rectangular but slightly curved on the active faces. Three pairs of wire grid supports can be seen passing through the top mica. The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter and, excluding the B9A base pins, is 68 mm tall.References: Data-sheet & 1040. Type CV2382 was first introduced in 1964. See also 1964 adverts. |
