The VT-173 is a miniature screened pentode for dry battery operation. It was designed for radio reception and is a variable μ RF device.
The Ken-Rad name and Made in USA on a clear plastic tape stuck onto the glass.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and, excluding the B7G base pins, is 45 mm tall.
