The CV128 rectifier is a high power valve. The peak inverse voltage under load is 7,500 Volts (9,000 Volts off load) and the peak rectifier output may rise to 2 Amps.
The anode is a triangular box connected to the top cap, to provide good insulation in a high voltage device both ceramic and mica are used. The valve was made in America.
Peter (G4PLW) writes that the CV128 was used in WS 53 as a half wave rectifier. The anode voltage was 1500 Volts.
The classic envelope is 55 mm in diameter and, excluding the 4 special base pins, is 165 mm tall.
