The CV128 rectifier was designed for high voltage use. The prototype was the SU750.
The ceramic insulators and anode connection by top cap indicate this. The rectifier is half wave and directly heated. The thick stub pins suggest a bayonet fitting base.
Peter (G4PLW) writes that the CV128 was used in WS 53 as a half wave rectifier. The anode voltage was 1,500 Volts.
The classic envelope is 62 mm in diameter and, excluding the base pins, is 166 mm tall.
