The EF95 is a low noise VHF RF amplifier pentode that is physically small and the electrode assembly is no more than a 10 mm cube.
See also M8100 special quality version.
The open end of the anode allows all of the internal grids to be seen.
The notch and peen fixing of the suppressor grid is straight across the support and thus it distorts the helical winding of the grid at the fixing points. At full size the control grid can be seen.
The thin glass tube envelope is 18 mm in diameter and excluding the B7G base pins, is 36 mm tall.
References: Datasheet & 1040. Type EF95 was first introduced in 1951.
