The 10F9 is a screened variable μ pentode for AGC controlled IF amplification in superhet receivers.

The thin glass tube envelope is 20 mm in diameter, and excluding the B8A base pins is 51 mm tall.
Reference: 1040. Type 10F9 was first introduced in 1947.
