The DC/P from Mazda is an audio output triode with a maximum power output of 0.65 Watts. The heater rated at 8.0 Volts and 0.5 Amps is not a standard. Mazda introduced this valve in 1931. This is after the introduction of the landmark mains output valve the AC/Pen
The picture above shows the details of the grid. Fixing of the oval wire is to the single support. The cathode is held top and bottom and passes through the far end of the oval away from the grid support. In this way the short path construction is achieved, and by reducing the grid to cathode spacing the mutual conductance of 4.5 mA/V is achieved.
The balloon envelope is 48 mm in diameter, and excluding the B5 base pins, is 108 mm tall.
